It was nearly midnight when Emily finally arrived at her grandmother's abandoned house. The old building stood alone at the edge of a forgotten village, surrounded by dead trees that swayed silently in the cold wind.

Her grandmother had passed away years ago, and nobody had entered the house since. As Emily unlocked the front door, a strange smell of dust and decay filled the air. The wooden floor creaked beneath her feet as she stepped inside.

Everything seemed untouched. Old family photographs still hung on the walls. A grandfather clock stood motionless in the hallway. The silence was so deep that Emily could hear her own heartbeat.

"Emily..."

She froze. The voice was faint but unmistakable. Someone had called her name. She looked around nervously and whispered, "Hello?" No answer came.

Trying to calm herself, Emily continued walking through the house. As she passed her grandmother's bedroom, she noticed the door moving slowly.

Creak...
Creak...

The door was opening by itself.

Emily pushed it fully open. The room was empty. But on the dusty mirror above the dresser, fresh words suddenly appeared as if an invisible finger was writing them.

DON'T LOOK BEHIND YOU.

Her blood ran cold. Every instinct told her to run. But curiosity won.

Slowly, Emily turned around.

Standing in the corner of the room was a pale woman wearing an old white dress. Her face was hidden beneath long black hair.

The figure remained perfectly still.

Then she slowly lifted her head.

Her eyes were completely black.

Emily wanted to scream, but no sound came out. The woman smiled.

Suddenly, every light in the house went out.

Darkness swallowed everything.

Emily ran through the hallway as whispers echoed from every direction.

"Stay..."
"Don't leave..."
"You belong here..."

The voices grew louder with every step. She reached the front door and desperately pulled the handle.

Locked.

Something cold touched her shoulder.

Emily slowly turned her head.

The woman was standing right behind her.

Closer than ever before.

"I've been waiting for you."

The next morning, villagers found the front door wide open. The house was empty.

Emily was never seen again.

Yet travelers passing the abandoned house still claim they hear a young woman whispering from inside the darkness...

Calling their names.
One by one.
